VITS and SportID joined forces to take care of employees wellbeing

SportID, the largest health and sports services platform in the Baltic countries, and VITS, an ambitious start-up company managing occupational health and safety, have begun cooperation. SportID joined with VITS and other partners in a seed financing round and acquired a minority stake in a company.

Marti Soosaar, CEO of SportID, confirmed that VITS was supported because they see great opportunities for collaboration between the two companies to provide a comprehensive workplace health and physical activity solution from which all companies could benefit. "Today, we are targeting the same target group with VITS - corporate human resources department. We have been constantly hearing about their concern that mandatory health checks for employees could be present in our environment, but this would require a much different solution from the one we currently offer to corporate clients. Occupational health service is not just a doctor's visit paid by the company but a way for informing the employer about doctor’s decision, keeping track of the follow-up visit and much more that is not planned for the SportID platform. In contrast, VITS basically covers all of them with one effective whiplash, "Soosaar explained. "Jaanika Jelistratov, the founder of VITS, is unquestionably a top specialist in occupational health in Estonia, and we are confident that their team can make a product that our customers would like to buy," Soosaar added.

Jaanika Jelistratov from VITS confirmed that she hopes to reach thousands of companies in the Baltic countries in cooperation with SportID. "Today we are at the beginning of the road that SportID has been walking on for a few years. Together with their sales team, we are definitely in a much better position to reach many medium and large companies in the Baltic countries faster. I believe that cooperation is a force that companies in a similar field in Estonia could use more often," Jelistratov said.

VITS recently signed a €80,000 seed financing round with investors, with the largest investor being the current shareholder of the company, Startup Wise Guys. In addition to SportID, another business angel Tarmo Tael, also participated in this round of funding. VITS participated in the Startup Wise Guys accelerator in Vilnius at the beginning of the year and today, the software platform is being used by 11 companies. SportID has also participated in the Startup Wise Guys Accelerator, and currently health and sports expense management services are being used in more than 1,000 companies across the Baltics.
